This song really caught my ear, with it's special blend of country-feeling vocals and U2-like bass driven rock lines. The dynamic changes, the harmony/dub voices and the punching guitars make me think some of the best work of Patti Smith. It has the same intense feeling. You feel that there is an important message in this song.
The production has a live feel and that non-polished attirude fits the song like a glove.

Awesome song! Great horn arrangement and killer guitar work! The vocals have a certain, lets say, soulful, bluesy, sultry smokey barroom/club vibe ala Pretenders,Patti Smith, Missing Persons/Blondie/Marilyn Monroe etcLove it! Rock on Mike and Carol Sue! Hope you both had a great weekend!
